Paying For PCalc

While PCalc can be freely downloaded and tried out to see if it meets your needs, it is not free software. If you continue to use it, you are expected to pay for your copy. This is known as shareware.

Paying for PCalc helps support further development of this software. Because we are a small company that writes software to earn our living, if nobody buys a particular product, we can't really justify spending time working on new versions of it in the future.

All payments are handled by Kagi, a company in California which provides a simple and secure way for people to pay for things from anywhere in the world. Kagi accepts all major credit cards as well as several other forms of payment.

For up-to-date information about Kagi please consult the comprehensive Customer FAQ in the Support section of Kagi's website:

This section also has a link to Kagi's self service automated order tracking system. Once you have ordered, this system can provide answers to many of the common questions you may have about your product purchase.

The Register Window

When PCalc starts up, and it has not been registered, the Register window shown below will open automatically. You can also open it while the application is running by selecting “Register…” from the “PCalc” menu.

If you have an existing serial number, enter your details in the fields provided and click the “Enter Serial…” button to personalize your copy. PCalc 2 serial numbers will continue to work with PCalc 3. If you paid for PCalc previously, but have lost your serial number, click the “Serial Search…” button or just send me an email to:

and I'll look it up for you.

To pay for your copy, click the “Buy…” button. If your computer originally came from Apple with a copy of the special PCalc 2.2.3 version installed, you are entitled to the special upgrade price and can click the “Buy Upgrade…” button.

PCalc will then open your web browser and take you to my Kagi order page located at the following URL:

http://order.kagi.com/?6B2

When the order is processed, your serial numbers will be sent to you in an email from Kagi entitled “Thanks for your purchase”. Enter the enclosed serial number carefully into the Register window with your name and an optional organization, and click the “Enter Serial…” button to personalize your copy.

Thanks for supporting shareware in general, and our company in particular.
